Jurnal Hukum Saraswati (JHS) expects authors to carefully determine the complete list, order, and contribution of all authors before submitting a manuscript.
The journal generally does not permit changes to authorship after submission unless the proposed change is supported by a valid reason, approved by the editor, and agreed to in writing by all affected authors.
Author List at Submission |
All individuals who meet the journal's authorship criteria must be listed in the manuscript at the time of initial submission. Complete and accurate information for every author must also be entered into the journal's submission system, including:
The author list recorded in the manuscript must correspond with the information entered into the submission system. |
Permitted Changes Before Acceptance |
Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors should be submitted before the manuscript is formally accepted for publication. No authorship change may be implemented without the prior approval of the journal editor. |
Request Procedure |
A request for an authorship change must be initiated by the corresponding author and submitted in writing to the Editorial Office. The request must include:
Adding an Author |
An individual may be added as an author only when the person satisfies the journal's authorship criteria and all existing authors provide written approval. The individual being added must also confirm their contribution, approve the manuscript, and accept responsibility for the integrity and content of the work. |
Removing an Author |
A request to remove an author must include written confirmation from the individual concerned and all remaining authors. The editor may request further clarification or supporting documentation when the removal could involve an authorship dispute, conflict, or possible misconduct. |
Rearranging Author Order |
Changes to the order of authors require written agreement from all listed authors. The corresponding author must explain the reason for the proposed rearrangement and confirm that the revised order accurately reflects the agreement of the research team. |
Changes After Acceptance |
Changes to authorship after a manuscript has been accepted will be considered only in exceptional circumstances. The editor may suspend copyediting, production, proofreading, or publication while the request is being reviewed. Approval is not guaranteed, and the editor may request institutional verification before making a decision. |
Changes After Publication |
If an authorship change is approved after publication, the journal will issue an appropriate formal notice, such as a corrigendum or correction. The correction will explain the authorship change and will be linked to the original published article to preserve the transparency and integrity of the scholarly record. |
Authorship Disputes |
The journal does not adjudicate authorship disputes or determine the relative contributions of members of a research team. Where the authors cannot reach agreement, the journal may refer the matter to the relevant institution or another appropriate authority. The editorial or publication process may be suspended until the dispute has been resolved. |
Unauthorized Changes |
Authors must not change the author list in a revised manuscript, proof, metadata form, or publication file without prior editorial approval. Unauthorized additions, removals, substitutions, or rearrangements of authors may result in:
Editorial Decision |
The editor will assess each request on the basis of the explanation provided, the agreement of all affected authors, the journal's authorship criteria, and the integrity of the scholarly record. The editor may approve, reject, or request additional information regarding any proposed authorship change. |
Authors are strongly advised to resolve all questions concerning authorship, author order, and contributorship before the manuscript is submitted.
Requests concerning authorship changes should be submitted to the Editorial Office.
