Retraction and Correction Policy
EMAS: Jurnal Ekonomi, Manajemen dan Bisnis is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. Where significant errors or research-integrity concerns are identified after publication, the journal may issue a Correction, Retraction, or Expression of Concern, as appropriate.
Correction
A correction may be issued when an error is identified in a published article but the error does not invalidate the principal findings or conclusions.
Corrections may relate to author information, data presentation, statistical information, tables or figures, references, methodological descriptions, funding information, ethical information, or other significant publication details.
A correction notice will identify the original article, explain the correction, and be linked to the article. Relevant article metadata will be updated where appropriate.
Retraction
An article may be retracted when there is reliable evidence that its findings, data, conclusions, originality, ethical integrity, or publication process are seriously compromised.
Reasons may include plagiarism, fabrication or falsification, serious methodological or analytical errors, duplicate or redundant publication, unethical research, serious authorship misconduct, manipulated peer review, copyright violations, or other substantial breaches of research or publication integrity.
Before deciding on retraction, the journal may request clarification and supporting documentation from the authors or other relevant parties.
Retraction Notice
Where an article is retracted, EMAS will publish a clear and openly accessible retraction notice identifying:
- the affected article;
- the reason for retraction;
- the party responsible for or initiating the retraction, where appropriate; and
- the date of the retraction.
The notice will be linked to the original article.
A retracted article will not normally be deleted from the journal website or archive. The article and its full text will remain accessible but will be clearly marked as RETRACTED. DOI and relevant metadata will be updated where technically possible.
Expression of Concern
EMAS may publish an Expression of Concern when serious questions have been raised about an article but available evidence is not yet sufficient to support a correction or retraction.
The notice may subsequently be replaced or supplemented by an appropriate corrective action when additional information becomes available.
Post-Publication Reports
Authors, readers, institutions, or other parties may report credible concerns regarding published articles to the Editorial Office. EMAS will evaluate such concerns fairly and take appropriate corrective action where necessary.
