Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Ilmiah Kurva Teknik undergoes an objective, independent, and rigorous evaluation process to maintain high standards of scientific publication quality. Our journal applies a Single-Blind Peer Review process. In this system, Peer Reviewers can see the identity of the Authors to facilitate contextual assessment of research track records, while the identity of the Peer Reviewers remains strictly confidential from the Authors.

Manuscript Review Workflow

  1. Initial Evaluation (Desk Review): The Editorial Board conducts an initial screening to check the manuscript's alignment with the journal's focus and scope, adherence to Author Guidelines, manuscript structure, language quality, and similarity analysis using Turnitin software with a maximum similarity index threshold of 20%. Manuscripts failing to meet these minimum standards will be rejected outright.
  2. Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are assigned to at least 1 (one) independent peer reviewer who possesses relevant subject-matter expertise in the corresponding field of study.
  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the written recommendations from the peer reviewers, the Editor will make a final decision:
    • Accepted: Accepted without revisions.
    • Minor Revision: Accepted subject to minor corrections.
    • Major Revision: Requires major corrections and re-evaluation.
    • Rejected: Declined for publication.

The entire peer review process typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks from the date the manuscript is assigned to the reviewers.
