AI Policy

Usadha encourages the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in scientific research and writing. However, AI tools must not replace the intellectual contributions, interpretation, or accountability of human authors.

  1. Permitted Use
Authors may use AI-based tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar software) for supportive purposes only, such as language editing, improving readability, or generating initial text drafts that are subsequently reviewed, verified, and rewritten by the authors.
  2. Disclosure Requirement
If AI tools are used in the preparation of a manuscript, authors must clearly state this in the Acknowledgements or Methods. Example: “Portions of this manuscript were assisted by an artificial intelligence tool (ChatGPT, OpenAI) for language editing. All scientific content has been reviewed and verified by the authors.”
  1. Author Responsibility
All authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their manuscripts. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as they cannot assume accountability for the content or ethical implications of the research.
  2. Prohibited Uses
The use of AI to generate, alter, or fabricate research data, images, or figures is strictly prohibited and constitutes a form of research misconduct.
