Ownership and Management

Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento (JINTO) (e-ISSN: 2356-4814 ) is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The journal is published and fully managed by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar , Indonesia.

JINTO was first established and made available online in 2015 by the Akademi Farmasi Saraswati Denpasar. Following the institutional integration of the academy into Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, the ownership and publication management of the journal were formally transferred in early 2019 to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, which has since assumed full responsibility for the journal’s editorial policies, publication processes, and long-term development.

The journal is governed by an independent Editor-in-Chief and an Editorial Board, supported by external peer-reviewers. All editorial decisions are made independently and are based solely on the academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance of the submitted manuscripts. The publisher does not interfere with editorial decision-making, thereby ensuring editorial integrity and transparency.

JINTO implements a double-blind peer-review process, in which each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. The journal is published biannually, with issues released in March and September, and accepts original research articles and review articles written in English.

Since December 2019, JINTO has been accredited by ARJUNA. The journal was indexed in SINTA 4 from Volume 5 Number 1 (2019) to Volume 9 Number 2 (2023). Beginning with Volume 9 Number 1 (2023), JINTO achieved an upgraded accreditation to SINTA 2 , as stipulated in the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 177/E/KPT/2024 , dated 15 October 2024).

JINTO operates under an open-access publishing model, providing free and immediate access to all published content. Copyright of all published articles remains with the authors and is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

The journal is committed to safeguarding the privacy of authors, reviewers, and readers. Names and email addresses submitted to the journal are used exclusively for editorial and publication purposes and will not be disclosed to third parties.

As of September 2025, articles published in JINTO have been cited by Scopus-indexed journals , with a total of 63 citations from 38 cited articles. Based on Google Scholar data, the journal has published 210 articles, with a total of 2,244 citations, an h-index of 21 , an i10-index of 61, an Impact Factor (SINTA) of 2.57, and a rejection rate of 74%, reflecting the journal’s selective editorial standards.
