Advertising Policy
Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, editorial independence, and scientific integrity. This Advertising Policy is established in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions in Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento are made solely on the basis of scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Advertising, sponsorship, or commercial interests have no influence on editorial decisions, including manuscript review, acceptance, revision, or rejection.
Editors, guest editors, and members of the editorial board are not involved in advertising negotiations and do not receive instructions or incentives from advertisers.
2. Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content
Advertisements are clearly distinguishable from editorial and scientific content. Advertising materials are not embedded within articles and are not presented in a manner that could be mistaken for scholarly or editorial material.
The placement of advertisements does not affect the integrity, readability, or credibility of published content.
3. Advertising Scope and Eligibility
Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento accepts advertisements that are relevant to the fields of pharmacy, health sciences, biomedical research, education, or scholarly publishing. Advertisements that are misleading, unsubstantiated, or inconsistent with ethical, legal, or scientific standards will not be accepted.
Advertisements for pharmaceutical products or health-related services must comply with applicable regulations and must not contain unsupported medical claims.
4. Conflict of Interest
Advertisers have no access to confidential editorial information and do not influence authors, reviewers, or editors. Any potential conflicts of interest related to advertising are managed transparently and in accordance with established publication ethics policies.
5. Right of Refusal or Removal
The publisher and editorial board of Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento reserve the right to refuse, remove, or discontinue any advertisement at any time if it is deemed:
- Inconsistent with journal policies,
- Potentially harmful to the journal’s scientific reputation,
- In violation of ethical standards, or
- Incompatible with the journal’s academic mission.
All decisions regarding advertising acceptance or removal are final.
6. Transparency and Accountability
All advertisements are clearly identified as such. Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento does not permit hidden, disguised, or deceptive advertising practices. Sponsored content that resembles editorial material is not allowed.
7. Compliance with Ethical Standards
This Advertising Policy supports the implementation of the COPE Core Practices and international standards of ethical scholarly publishing. It aims to preserve trust among authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders of Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento.
