Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript must not have been previously published and must not be under review by another journal. A written explanation should be provided to the Editor via the Comments for Editor section.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format, not in PDF.
  • The maximum allowed similarity in manuscripts is 20%. Attach the similarity check result as proof.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The text is in 1,15 space; uses a 10 pt Calibri font; employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are positioned in the manuscript near the text that explains them.
  • The total number of tables and figures in the manuscript shall not exceed eight (8), and each must be cited in the text
  • The reference list must include at least 25 sources, with a minimum of 80% consisting of primary literature published within the last 10 years.
  • Where available, URLs and DOIs for the references have been provided.

Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Manuscripts submitted for publication in Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento must present original research in the field of pharmacy, in accordance with the journal’s focus and scope (see About the Journal for details). Submissions must be written in clear and correct English, and must not have been previously published in any other journal or magazine.

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts directly via the submission link available on the journal’s OJS (Open Journal System) website. Before submission, authors must ensure that the manuscript file is accessible and opens correctly on other computers.

Manuscripts should be typed on A4-sized paper using Calibri font, size 10, with 1.15 line spacing—except for the titleauthor names, and abstract, which should use single spacing. Margins must be set to 0.5 inches on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).

The manuscript must begin with an abstract in proper English, followed by the IntroductionMethodsResults and DiscussionConclusion, and other relevant sections. The main text (from Abstract to Conclusion, excluding references, tables, and figures) of an original research article should not exceed 6,000 wordsReview articles should not exceed 7,000 words, except for systematic reviews or meta-analyses, which may be allowed up to 10,000 words with prior editorial approval.

Authors are encouraged to download and use the MS Word template provided. All tables and figures must be placed near the relevant text that discusses them—either before or after the explanation—and must not exceed a total of eight (8) combined.

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

1. Title

a) Capitalized Each Word

b) Maximum 20 Words

 

2. Abstract

a) Written 1 paragraph, 200-250 words long
b) Background, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions, highlighting the impact of the study
c) Keywords: 3-6 words/phrase

 

3. Introduction

a) There is a clear State of the art
b) There is a clear statement of the gap
c) Research objectives that fill the gaps that have been stated

 

4. Method
a) The research design is clear
For Pharmaceutical science research:
* Tools and Materials are presented in detail and clearly, only including materials that affect research results
* Detailed and precise research procedures, complete with references
* Available ethical clearance (if using experimental animals)
For Clinical and community pharmacy research:
* Population and data collection (sampling technique) presented
* Representative sample size
* Inclusion and exclusion criteria
b) Data analysis techniques are clear

 

5. Results and Discussion

a) Writing numbers and table titles well and correctly
b) Writing the number and title of the picture well and correctly
c) Each table/figure is referred to in the text
d) Comparison with other studies on each data displayed
e) the author's argument related to research results
f) Relevant theory related to existing data

 

6. Conclusions

a) No numbering, 1 paragraph
b) Answer the research objectives concisely and clearly

 

7. Acknowledgments
a) Mention the research sponsor, or if not, mention that the research did not receive funding.
b) Mention if research results have been presented at a scientific conference.

 

8. References

a) The suitability of the bibliography with the text
b) Minimum of 80% is the primary referral
c) New library sources, a maximum of the last ten years
d) Minimum 25 references used
e) Compiled using Reference Manager, such as Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, etc.

 

PLAGIARISM SCREENING POLICY

The maximum similarity in manuscripts allowed in our journal is 20% (evidenced by the results of a similarity check). If the similarity exceeds the limit, the author must make improvements and resubmit the revised manuscript.

 

PEER REVIEW POLICY

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality and academic integrity. Each manuscript is reviewed by two independent reviewers, with a minimum review period of eight weeks. The evaluation focuses on originality, scientific rigor, and contribution to the field. Final publication decisions are based on reviewers’ recommendations and the editorial board’s assessment.

 

PUBLICATION FEE (article publishing charge)
Each article accepted for publication in JINTO is subject to a publication fee of Rp 1,200,002 (IDR) [starting from publication in 2025].

Submission and Process Fee
There is no charge for submitting and processing articles in Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento.

5. User Rights
