About the Journal

Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento, abbreviated as JINTO, with the registered e-ISSN 2356-4814, is an open-access scientific journal in the field of pharmacy. Each and every manuscript in this journal is reviewed by at least two reviewers and conducted through a double-blind peer review system to ensure objectivity and high-quality assessment. JINTO has been accredited by ARJUNA with a SINTA 4 ranking since Vol. 5 Issue 1 in 2019. Starting from Vol. 9 Issue 1 in 2023, the journal has been elevated to a SINTA 2 accreditation, as per the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 177/E/KPT/2024, dated October 15, 2024.

JINTO is published biannually in March and September and aims to disseminate current scientific knowledge to researchers in the pharmacy field. The journal accepts original research articles and review articles encompassing various areas of pharmaceutical science, including Pharmacology and Toxicology; Clinical and Community Pharmacy; Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis; Pharmaceutical Biology and Natural Products; Pharmaceutical Technology; Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology; Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacy Marketing Research; and Alternative medicine.

A total of thirty-eight (38) articles published in Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento have been cited by articles in Scopus-indexed journals, with a total of 70 citations (updated January 2026).

Jurnal Ilmiah Medicamento Volume 12 Issue 1 (March 2026) presents peer-reviewed research and reviews advancing pharmaceutical sciences. The scope encompasses clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical technology, and natural product exploration for therapeutic applications.

Several contributions address clinical pharmacy and public health, including studies on medication adherence, pharmacist-GP collaboration, and digital hypoglycemia risk assessment. Research also evaluates antibiotic resistance outcomes, imatinib safety, and inappropriate PPI use in the elderly to enhance patient safety.

In pharmaceutical technology and natural products, research highlights meloxicam nanocrystals and standardized formulations from mangrove, basil, and Anredera scandens. Studies investigate antioxidant properties, flavonoid neuroprotection, and Eucheuma cottonii for diabetes management.

This issue also features computational screenings for cancer inhibitors, a bibliometric analysis of leprosy resistance, and an erratum on hydrocortisone stability. Overall, this edition strengthens the scientific foundation and research quality in pharmaceutical and health sciences.
