Grammatical errors in a written text made by the second language learner must often appear. It is affected by some factors such as the influence of the mother tongue and the knowledge of the second language grammatical rules. The errors also appear in the product of translation made by the students as they were given a task to translate written and spoken text from two videos taken from the official website of Indonesia Tourism-Indonesia Travel. These students’ translations became the data of this study. Reading and note-taking techniques were used to collect the errors made by the students in doing the Indonesian-English translation from the videos which then presented descriptively. The result of this study shows that many students still made some grammatical errors, especially in the terms of using tense in sentences and overgeneralization of target language rules.
