Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi khususnya hereditas manusia melalui penerapan Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) selama dua siklus yang melibatkan 25 siswa kelas XII MIA 1 SMA N 1 SOA. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah penerapan PBL, dengan rata-rata nilai posttest yang semakin meningkat pada setiap siklusnya. PBL terbukti efektif dalam memotivasi siswa dan meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam belajar. Kesimpulannya, PBL dapat diandalkan sebagai metode pengajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan analisis pada materi pelajaran yang kompleks. Studi ini merekomendasikan penggunaan PBL yang lebih luas dan berkelanjutan dalam pendidikan biologi.
