About the Journal
Usadha (e-ISSN 2963-2161) is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to advancing the scientific integration of traditional medicine within contemporary healthcare systems. It serves as a platform for the exchange of evidence-based knowledge among researchers, traditional medicine practitioners, healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders engaged in the development of traditional herbal medicines for public benefit.
The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and short communications covering a broad spectrum of disciplines that support the upstream-to-downstream development of traditional medicine. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
- exploration and identification of traditional medicinal resources;
- isolation, purification, and characterisation of bioactive compounds from natural materials;
- scientific validation of efficacy and safety through preclinical and clinical studies;
- development of novel extraction, fractionation, and isolation technologies;
- formulation and production technologies for traditional medicines and herbal cosmetics;
- development of nutraceutical and functional herbal products;
- traditional medicine service systems in clinical and community contexts;
- health policy and regulatory frameworks related to traditional medicine; and
- conservation and sustainable cultivation of medicinal plants.
Usadha is published by the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, and is issued three times annually—in April, August, and December.
