Abstract

This research is an ex post facto research which aims to analyze the level of critical thinking ability of BBO Olympic participants which is viewed from gender. Given the level of critical thinking skills of BBO Olympic participants who vary according to age, school level, and gender. Gender is mentioned as one of the factors that influence the level of critical thinking skills of learners, especially in this case is the participants of the Olympic BBO. Therefore the researchers intend to analyze the level of critical thinking skills of BBO Olympic participants who viewed from gender. Gender in the narrow sense which is the gender of male and female. In this study the data were analyzed using one way anova test in order to obtain maximum results. From the result of data analysis show at junior level with sig value. 0.482 at the preliminary round and the sig value. 0.157 in the final round. While at high school level get sig value. 0.075 in the preliminary round and the sig value. 0.694 in the final round. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the critical thinking skills of male and female students both at junior and senior high school levels.
