Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid advancement of technology so that people can communicate freely through social media. This research can lead to the discovery of less polite language, which can be expressed in various ways. The way people speak less politely is the use of impoliteness strategies. This study aimed to describe language impoliteness strategies resulting from KAI customer complaints in the Instagram social media comments column on the @kai121 account. This study use descriptive qualitative research with a pragmatic approach. The data used in this study are customer complaint comments containing impolite strategies on the Instagram account @kai121. The data collection technique used in this study was observing and noting. The use of impoliteness strategies is often found in the politeness impoliteness of 30 data and withhold politeness not found in this study. This is because the strategy of withhold politeness only occurs in verbal communication.
