Mastery of the renyoukei conjunctive form usage, more known as -te form conjugation in Japanese, is one of the challenging factors in learning Japanese. This paper aims to reveal the variations in the use of renyoukei (-te form conjugation) in Japanese so that Japanese language learners and learners, especially in Indonesia, can more easily master Japanese. Observation methods and note-taking techniques are used for data collection. The collected data is analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of the analysis are reported using informal methods. There are five variations of renyoukei usage in Japanese: heiretsu, taihi, keiki, gen'in, and shudan. However, at the basic level of Japanese, the use as a keiki is preferred to be taught first and then the use as a gen'in. Meanwhile, use as heiretsu, taihi, and shudan has not been given in basic level Japanese.
