PENERAPAN KONSEP MONOZUKURI PADA PENGOLAHAN MAKANAN JEPANG DI BALI

The manufacturing progress in Japan can be seen from the use of its technology. Technological development has made Japan able to become one of the most developed countries in the world. The application of appropriate technology can produce products that have high economic value. That way, to increase the value in the industrial sector. The concept of Monozukuri is one of the determining factors for this development. Monozukuri became the steppingstone for the progress of the Japanese manufacturing industry. Therefore, within the manufacturing industry they work together to promote the successful development of new products and technologies. Monozukuri is a word with the origin of mono meaning “goods,” and Zukuri meaning the “process of making” (Blom, 2015:2). Monozukuri places more emphasis on high-quality products and the process of making a product. In addition, Monozukuri can also be interpreted as a process of creating superior results. This study discusses the application of the Monozukuri concept to the Japanese food processing industry in Bali. The research method used is qualitative with interview techniques. With that being said, namely conducting research by collecting data and conducting interviews with several informants with reference to ideas (Sugiono, 2006; 138-140). The theory used is based on functional structure (Talcott Parsons). The research location was carried out in two districts, Badung Regency and Gianyar Regency, Bali. Based on the results of the research, it shows that every Japanese person who does business in food processing always pays attention to the concept of Monozukuri. This way, making them get maximum results. The results of this study indicates that most Japanese people who have a food processing business apply the concept of Monozukuri. Like this, they create quality and sustainable preparations.
