ANALISIS JENIS STRATEGI KETIDAKSANTUNAN DALAM SERIAL DRAMA ANTARES (2O21)

Abstract

This research examines the phenomenon of impoliteness act in the drama series entitled Antares (2021) by Grace Reinda. This study aims to describe the types of impoliteness strategies and the factors that influence the occurrence of impoliteness using Jonathan Culpeper's theory. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. The data used in this research are conversations between motorcycle gang figures in drama series. Data collection was carried out by observing the method of noting. The results showed that there were four types of impoliteness strategies found, namely, bald on record impoliteness, positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness and mock politeness. Impoliteness act is carried out due to several factors as follows: expressing anger or annoyance; social power imbalance; and social relations between speakers and speaker partners.
