Abstract

This study aims to identify teacher and student speech in distance learning Indonesian at distance learning Indonesian at Surabaya Junior high school 37, especially in the 2022/2023 school year. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic equivalent analysis model. The results of this study. In the context of teacher-student communication discourse in Indonesian distance learning at Surabaya Junior high school 37, the general theme is "solving the problem of the impact of technology through discussion". The scheme is divided into three parts, namely introduction, core (distance learning activities) and closing. The way of speaking between teachers and students in distance learning Indonesian at Surabaya Junior high school 37 is classified into four parts, namely (1) direct literal speech which is dominated by declarative speech mode (2) direct non-literal speech which is dominated by imperative speech mode. (3) literal indirect speech, and (4) non-literal indirect speech.
