KAJIAN TERJEMAHAN TUTURAN PERISTIWA ROMANTIS PADA SERIAL DRAMA SEX EDUCATION SEASON 1, 2 DAN 3

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe romantic types and types of speech acts used by speakers to convey romantic utterances found in the drama series Sex Education seasons 1, 2 and 3. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, with embedded case studies, and comparative with a sociopragmatic approach to explain the type of romance seen based on the utterances used by speakers in the drama series. The data were obtained from the characters' utterances at romantic speech events and validated by three raters through FGD (Focus Group Discussion) before being analyzed using domain, taxonomic, componential and cultural theme analysis. The results of this study indicate that the romantic type which is expressed through the language of love, word of affirmation, is the most dominant spoken by speakers, which found a number of 81 data. The next finding shows that the type of speech act most widely used by speakers in romantic speech events is expressive speech acts found in a total of 86 data. The next finding shows that the sub speech acts used in romantic speech are; stating, praising, apologizing, inviting, ordering, forbidding, telling, promising, threatening, offering and affirming.
