PERUBAHAN PERSEPSI WARGA JEPANG TERHADAP AGAMA ISLAM SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH TINGGAL DI INDONESIA

Religion is not very important for Japanese people, whereas religion plays an essential role as a way of life in Indonesia. There are slightly of Islam adherents in Japan. Many Japanese citizens did not know about Islam's religion and culture. However, many Japanese citizens are now moving to a country where the majority of its citizen is Islam. This study aims to determine whether Japanese people changed their perception of Islam before and after living in Indonesia. In this study, there are two data, primary and secondary. Primary data was obtained from the interview method, while secondary data was obtained from the literature and media review methods. The study results show that there have been some changes in the perceptions of Japanese people towards Islam after living in Indonesia. The implications of this research can help better understand Japanese citizens' perceptions changed before and after living in Indonesia.
