Abstrak

  This research is motivated by the Bali due to modernization, triggering the need for effective, waning of sewing culture in educational and interactive communication media as a means of introducing sewing to teenagers in Bali. The aims of this research are (1) to describe the design and working mechanism of the Mai Mejejaitan game (2) to analyze the technical feasibility of the Mai Mejejaitan game, (3) to analyze the influence of the Mai Mejejaitan game on the sewing skills of teenagers in Kayubihi Village, Bangli. This research uses the ADDIE Research & Development model approach which was carried out at SMAN Bali Mandara and Kayubihi Village, Bangli from 5 October – 22 December 2023. The subjects of this research were 1 material expert, 1 media expert, and 50 teenagers aged 12 – 17year in Kayubihi Bangli Village while the object of this research is the digital-based educational game "Mai Mejaitan" as a medium for preserving local culture. The data collection methods used were: literature study, observation and questionnaires. Data is processed based on a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this research are (1) the design and working mechanism of the Mai Mejejaitan media is a digital-based game design that can be accessed on Android smartphones, users can choose menus related to cultural elements such as canang, sampian, segehan, tipat, ancak, sanggah cucuk, and to obtain each player must complete the information board, quiz and video tutorial for each element, (2) the technical feasibility of the Mai Mejaitan media is very feasible to implement which refers to the validation results from material experts 83.75% and media experts 93.33%, ( 3) the influence of the Mai Mejaitan game is to increase the knowledge and skills of teenagers and become an interactive medium that supports the preservation of Balinese culture and local wisdom amidst globalization
