Balinese is a regional language used as a means of communication by the Balinese community. Various efforts have been made to revitalize the Balinese language, including its implementation as a school subject. However, the use of monotonous learning media has negatively affected students’ interest and achievement in learning Balinese. Therefore, innovative and engaging educational media are needed to support effective language learning. In the era of Society 5.0, digital technology plays an important role in daily life, particularly through instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp. WhatsApp provides various features that can be utilized for educational purposes, one of which is the sticker feature. WhatsApp stickers combine visual elements and short texts, making them attractive and widely used, especially among adolescents. This study aims to describe the characteristics, influence, and effectiveness of interactive WhatsApp stickers as an educational medium for revitalizing the Balinese language among adolescents in the Society 5.0 era. This research employed a development method using the 4D model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Data were collected through validation instruments, questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The results show that students require interesting and innovative learning media in Balinese language instruction. The interactive WhatsApp stickers were designed using visual images and communicative Balinese sentences applicable to daily communication. The feasibility test results indicate that the product achieved a “very feasible” category with an average score of 98.33% and was classified as “very valid” with an overall validity coefficient of 0.98. Furthermore, the Wilcoxon test results show a significance value of less than 0.05, indicating a significant effect of interactive WhatsApp stickers on students’ Balinese language proficiency. The effectiveness analysis reveals an increase in the average pre-test score from 47.03 (low category) to the post-test score of 76.22 (moderate category). Therefore, interactive WhatsApp stickers are effective as an educational medium to enhance students’ Balinese language proficiency and support language revitalization efforts.
