MURAL: PENGEMBANGAN MUSEUM VIRTUAL 360° MEGANGSING BERBASIS WEB SEBAGAI UPAYA PELESTARIAN PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL DI ERA SOCIETY 5.0

This research is motivated by the declining existence of the traditional Megangsing game in Bali due to the development of digital technology. Therefore, an educational and interactive web-based preservation medium is needed to introduce the traditional Megangsing game to the younger generation in the era of Society 5.0. The objectives of this study include: (1) describing the design and working mechanism of the MURAL, (2) analyzing the technical feasibility of the MURAL, and (3) analyzing the effect of the MURAL on the younger generation's knowledge of traditional at SMA Negeri Bali Mandara. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, conducted at SMA Negeri Bali Mandara for four months, from August 7 to December 22, 2025. The research subjects consisted of one material expert, one media expert, and 30 students of SMA Negeri Bali Mandara, while the research objects were MURAL, a web-based 360° Virtual Museum designed to preserve the traditional Megangsing game. The data collection methods used were literature study, observation, questionnaires, and pretest-posttest assessments. The data were analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this study show that: (1) the design and working mechanism of the MURAL are digitally based and accessible via smartphones and laptops, allowing users to explore several rooms such as the history of Megangsing, how to play, how to make a spinning top, and the tools and materials used; (2) the technical feasibility of the MURAL is categorized as highly feasible for implementation, based on validation results from the material expert (96.26%) and the media expert (90%); and (3) the use of MURAL increasesthe knowledge of students at SMA Negeri Bali Mandara regarding the traditional Megangsing, thereby helping ensure that the traditional Megangsing game remains preserved and recognized by the younger generation.
