Abstrak

Globalization presents both challenges and opportunities for the preservation of Indonesian
culture. One approach to address this is through cultural commodification, which involves
transforming cultural elements into economic products without compromising their values
and authenticity. This study aims to develop the KARSAKU digital platform to support the
preservation of Indonesian culture through the integration of website-based technology and
e-commerce. The research method employed is qualitative, with primary data obtained
through in-depth interviews with three sources: the first source is a Regional Arts and
Cultural Analyst from the Bali Provincial Culture Office, the second is a cultural
preservationist, and the third is a youth cadre dedicated to cultural preservation in Bali
Province. Secondary data were gathered from literature reviews related to cultural
preservation and the creative economy. The findings of the study indicate that KARSAKU
can introduce and promote local Indonesian cultural products on a broader scale through
its marketplace feature, which connects sellers and buyers. It also provides educational
information about cultural values and traditions through multimedia content. Furthermore,
the presence of a moderator who verifies the sellers' products ensures that items sold on
KARSAKU are original.
