Bali is one of the islands that has a unique culture and famous to foreign countries. Culture
is an important aspect that must be maintained and preserved, especially language, literature, and
script which are important pillars in culture. However, along with the development of technology
and globalization, there has been a decrease in awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of Balinese
culture from the community, especially the younger generation, which causes the younger
generation to be less familiar with Balinese culture such as Balinese language and script. The lack
of Balinese cultural education media also makes this cultural heritage increasingly difficult to access
and understand. Therefore, researchers developed TABALI which utilizes digital technology by
using a website to create educational media such as comics introducing Balinese culture, script, and
language. Comics are an effective visual communication medium in conveying cultural information.
Websites as a digital platform serves to expand the accessibility and reach of learning. Balinese
culture, script, and language are cultural heritage that requires preservation in the digital era to
maintain its sustainability. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and provide education
through digital comics about the introduction of Balinese culture, script, and language. This
research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with several stages. The results showed
that the TABALI website was very effective as an educational medium for Balinese culture, language,
and script with an increase in understanding of 22.29% in the experimental group, compared to the
control group which only increased by 3.95%. Independent Sample T-test statistical analysis showed
a significant difference between the two groups (p<0.05). Evaluation and assessment results from
50 respondents showed 87% rated the website as excellent, 10% as good, and 3% as fair. The
TABALI website proved to be effective as an educational medium for Balinese culture, language,
and script.
