Abstrak

This research is motivated by the fading of Balinese carving art due
to the lack of knowledge and introduction of Balinese carving to
children and the erosion of globalization, so an effective media for
introducing carving art to children is needed. The objectives of this
study are (1) to explain the working mechanism of the BAKAR SATE
website (Balinese Carvings in Augmented Reality Website): as a
Media for Introducing Balinese Carving Art to Children through
Augmented Reality with a Website, (2) to analyze the feasibility of
the material presented on the BAKAR SATE website, (3) to analyze
the effectiveness of the BAKAR SATE website in introducing carving
art to children. This research is a type of R&D (Research &
Development) development research with the ADDIE development
model which was carried out from September 17 to December 19,
2024 at SMAN Bali Mandara in terms of compiling a report on the
process of making a website with AR (Augmented Reality), and at
SDN 6 Kubutambahan to conduct a trial. The subjects of this study
were one material expert and 30 students of SDN 6 Kubutambahan,
with the object of the study being the “BAKAR SATE” website. The
data in this study were obtained through literature review,
observation, questionnaires, and pretest & posttest questions. The
data obtained were then analyzed using a qualitative and
quantitative descriptive approach (mix methods). The results of this
study are (1) the BAKAR SATE website works the same as websites
in general, but when the carving image is scanned, a 3D model will
appear with a voice explanation, (2) the material on the BAKAR
SATE website is “Very good” as a medium for introducing carving
art to children, with an assessment score using the Likert scale
reference criteria of 88%, (3) the results of the paired t-test
normality test showed a significant difference before and after using
the BAKAR SATE website, which means that this website is effective
as a medium for introducing carving to children.
