ANDIRA : REVITALISASI MEDIA SOSIAL SEBAGAI PROMOSI DAN PELESTARI KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA SISWA BOYOLALI

Abstrak

This study aims to: 1). To find out how social media revitalisation can improve the promotion of local
wisdom for students in Boyolali; 2). To examine the factors that influence the low understanding of
students in Boyolali towards dance customs and traditions; 3). To examine the effectiveness of using
social media in the preservation of local wisdom in Boyolali among students: 4). Examine the
challenges faced in optimising social media as a tool for the promotion and preservation of local
wisdom for students in Boyolali. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Teras over a period
of 8 weeks. The research sample we used was 60 students from 3 schools in Boyolali. The sampling
technique used random sampling. Data collection techniques used, namely interviews to the
distribution of questionnaires. Data validity consisted of source triangulation and method
triangulation. Data analysis techniques used, namely classical assumption test, t test, and simple
linear regression test. The results showed: 1). Social media revitalisation can improve the promotion
of local wisdom for students in Boyolali by (a.) Creating educational content, in the form of
Infographics and Educational Videos; (b.) Creating cultural digitalisation containing virtual
activities, in the form of creating a website on Instagram; (c.) Holding collaborations through
education personnel with zoom meetings with students, containing distance learning, discussions and
questions and answers and collaborative activities. (d.) Promoting through social media, using local
influencers, cultural hashtags, and holding competitions. 2). Factors affecting students' low
understanding of Boyolali dance customs and traditions (a.) Low student literacy; (b.) Little content
on social media of dance customs and traditions; (c.) Minimum transmission from parents; (d.) Low
learning of customs and traditions at school. 3). The effectiveness of using social media in preserving
Boyolali local wisdom among students is classified as very effective, as evidenced in the use of social
media significantly increases students' understanding of culture, as evidenced by the results of
statistical tests that show a positive and significant relationship. 4). Challenges faced in optimising
social media as a tool for the promotion and preservation of local wisdom for Boyolali students,
namely (a.) Low student interest in understanding the customs and traditions of Boyolali society; (b.)
High competition for educational content and entertainment content; (c.) Lack of support from the
school and family environment; (d.) Inadequate optimisation of social media in terms of local
traditions.
