Abstrak

Indonesia is renowned for its rich cultural diversity, including the unique Balinese
culture. However, the era of globalization and the emergence of Society 5.0 have
posed challenges to the preservation of local cultures. Therefore, this study aims to
understand the factors that motivate young people's interest in Balinese culture,
comprehend the problems and challenges faced, and provide solutions through a
digital education platform called PANDAWA (Digital Education Platform for
Cultural Heritage). This research employed a quantitative approach by collecting
data from online questionnaires prepared in Google Forms and conducting a
document analysis. The findings indicate that limited access to local Balinese
culture and the hegemony of global culture are significant obstacles to the
sustainability of local cultures. PANDAWA emerges as a solution to this problem
by developing relevant content material that encompasses information about
customs and traditions, songs, dances, folk tales, and educational games that can
stimulate the interest of the younger generation in Balinese culture. From the
perspective of Society 5.0, it is expected that PANDAWA will be an effective medium
for promoting and preserving Balinese heritage, thereby enhancing Indonesia's
cultural diversity.
