Abstract

The decision to find funding sources in order to strengthen the capital structure will be an important decision. Funding or the capital structure of the company if it is not managed optimally, it can cause financial difficulties for the company.The research was conducted on consumer goods companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which was conducted in 2017-2019 with a sample size of 41 and observations of 123. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, which is a sampling technique for data sources with certain considerations. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics, classic assumption test, hypothesis testing, and multiple linear analysis.The results of the study found that profitability and asset structure had a negative effect on capital structure. Meanwhile, firm size (size) has a positive effect on capital structure.
