Abstract

Investment decisions aim to obtain a high level of return with a certain level of risk. If in investing a company is able to generate profits by using company resources efficiently, the company will gain the trust of potential investors to buy its shares. This study aims to analyze the effect of investment opportunities, profitability, dividend policy, debt policy and investment decisions on investment decisions in banking companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

The population in this study were 43 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method, namely the sampling technique with certain considerations, the sample size was 12 banking companies with a total of 48 observations. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis.

The test results show that investment opportunities, profitability and debt policy have a positive effect on investment decisions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. Dividend policy has a negative effect on investment decisions listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2015-2018.
