Abstract

The development of information technology requires Village Credit Institutions (Lembaga Perkreditan Desa/LPD) to have an accounting information system capable of effectively supporting operational performance and decision-making. This study aims to analyze and identify the influence of information technology sophistication, personal technical capability, user involvement, top management support, and information system quality on the performance of the accounting information system. This research was conducted in Marga District, Tabanan. The population of this study comprised all LPD employees in Marga District, Tabanan. The research sample consisted of 63 respondents from 21 LPDs in Marga District, Tabanan, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results show that user involvement and top management support have a positive effect on the performance of the accounting information system. Meanwhile, information technology sophistication, personal technical capability, and information system quality do not affect the performance of the accounting information system. This study is expected to serve as a consideration for LPD management in improving accounting information system performance through increasing user involvement and strengthening top management support.
