Abstract

The development of the banking in Indonesia is now getting better, various financial services have been developed to provide convenience for the customers. In general, the main function of banks is to collect funds from the community and channel back to the community for various purposes or as a financial intermediary. One form of channeling bank funds to the public, namely in the form of credit. Loans disbursed by the bank certainly can not be separated from the risk. If many debtors who do not perform their obligations in this case to do wanprestasi of course will have a serious impact that is the crisis on the credit sector is shown by the ratio of non-performance loan (NPL) in the bank. The high NPL would certainly be very dangerous to the health of the bank. Bank Indonesia (BI) sets policy directions for each bank to gradually reduce NPLs to a level not exceeding 5%. In this case the banks are free to determine or choose a way to lower the NPL ratio, either by credit rescue or credit settlement.

Putu Eka Trisna Dewi, Fakultas Hukum Universitas Ngurah Rai Denpasar

Penulis lahir di Denpasar, 14 September 1987. Penulisa adalah Dosen Fakultas Hukum Universitas Ngurah Rai Denpasar.  Penulis memperoleh gelar Sarjana Hukum pada Fakultas Hukum Universitas Udayana pada tahun 2009, memperoleh gelar Magister Hukum pada Pascasarjana Universitas Udayana pada tahun 2015 dan saat ini tengah menempuh pendidikan program DoktorI lmu Hukum pada Pascasarjana Universitas Udayana. Penulis aktif dalam menulis jurnal ilmiah hukum dan beberapa sudah diterbitkan baik dalam jurnal hukum maupun prosing nasional dan internasional.
